Office of Children’s Health

The Office of Children's Health supports the increased focus within the state and nation on the importance of early childhood programs. It also supports enhanced integration of existing children’s programs both within the Arizona Department of Health Services and among other state and federal agencies and our outside partners.

Programmatically, the Office provides services to children and their families who are at risk for developmental delay, metabolic/genetic disorders, or hearing impairment. Services are provided to a client directly or through a contractor. We work closely with the stakeholders of Arizona’s perinatal care system and actively support a regionalized system of care. The Office also supports increased access to care for pregnant women and infants, best practices related to the early identification of developmental delays, and access to appropriate interventions.
